- Hello! I am looking for band members and a producer to collaborate with for a new rock/post-hardcore band in Tokyo. This project is heavily influenced by western bands like Bilmuri, I the Mighty, Don Broco, and Bring Me the Horizon, but I am personally also into a lot of different music - from metal to math rock and everything in between. Some of my favorites are Dance Gavin Dance, Tricot, Sleep Token, Circa Survive, Four Year Strong, and a ton of emo, pop punk, and hardcore bands. For this band I don't want to necessarily be too restricted to any particular genre, but i want to make music that gets everyone involved excited.
I'm looking for a few collaborators to bring this to the next level:
Producer - you can write and design synths and sound effects similar to electronic elements of BMTH and Bilmuri. Would also love someone who can help us program our live set and dial in tones for all instruments. I love EDM artists like Illenium, Said The Sky, and Slander. You will hopefully be my primary partner in crime when it comes to writing - I lack skills in the production side and that is an important part of my vision!
Guitar - Doesn’t necessarily need to be a shredder but I do like someone who can funk and is a complete tone nerd like I am. Strong songwriting skills preferred!
A bassist who really understands how low end fits in the mix and can hold things down for the rest of the band (with some healthy flourishes too)
A drummer who just absolutely RIPS (might already have someone here but just in case)
I’ll be singing and playing guitar - I am a Berklee-educated musician with a lifetime of experience, excellent gear, and a drive to write some kick ass songs.
Any additional knowledge of recording, writing, instruments, or singing ability is a big perk too! I’ll be handing some heavy marketing for this project and have plans to brand in a really cool way. - 基本データ
